    MAIN PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Ph.D., Department of Public Health and Policy, Health Economics and Policy
Analysis, LondonUniversity (2002). Currently: Associate Professor in Health
Economics. Prior to joining Faculty of
Public Health, Mahidol University as a lecturer (Introduction to health
economics; Economic Evaluation; Public Health Administration; Supervision
of master and doctoral students)
in 1995:Head of Evaluation Unit, AIDS Division of Ministry of Health,
Thailand.

I received the Young Investigator Award from the International AIDS
Conference in Vancouver,
Canada in 1996 and awarded the Franz Redeker Prize at the 29th World
Conference of the IUATLD in November 1998.

My researches have focused on exploring the magnitude and health
consequences of impact on(AIDS) adult morbidity and mortality on individual,
household and community, the development oftechniques to evaluate
HIV/AIDS prevention activities, and participatory methods to monitor and
evaluate TB/HIV/DHF programme in Thailand. I have served in several
researches in national and international forums such as Health System
Research Institute on: Reform of CSMBS; Research package as proposal and
monitoring of UC of health care; and Potential Benefit of AZT preventive
therapy in Perinatal HIV Transmission and its Cost-effectiveness Analysis,
Thailand National Health Forums on: Dengue burden, cost of illnesses, public
and private willingness to pay for Dengue vaccine in Thailand; and Cost-
Utility Analysis of Thalassemia in Thailand, UNAIDS on
the National Report on monitoring the follow-up to the Declaration of
Commitment on HIV/AIDS(UNGASS), WHO/VAM on Cost-Effectiveness
analysis of Haeomophilus Influenza type b Vaccination Programme in
Thailand, CDC/Atlanta on Primary Prophylaxis against Systemic
Fungal Infections among Persons Living with AIDS in Thailand: Costeffectiveness
Analysis. I am also responsible for general management and
policy direction of the organisation and establishing a wide range of
programmes that are based on partnerships with local academic institutions,
NGOs and the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn
in a range of countries, including Lao PDR, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam,
focusing on areas of research that can be
used to help inform policy.
